Macon County has long been known for its deer hunting and this farm is no exception. The owner is an avid deer hunter along with neighboring land owner and lifelong friend next door they have managed their properties for maturity and trying to produce giant whitetails. Most hunters and locals in the area know and remember the Duncan buck killed on the neighboring farm which green scoring close to 200". The owner of this farm saw that deer on this farm 3 times. The owner to the south owns a large tract and manages it extensively, has killed several nice deer up into the 170's, and also saw the Duncan buck. Currently for this year the owner and hunting buddy both had a deer believed to be upper 180's as their hit list buck in their sights. Seeing him several times they were unable to harvest him and to his knowledge is still running around today.
